Cryptita Plays Takes Students From Learning Web3 to Building Onchain
Cryptita Plays is continuing its push for hands-on Web3 education in the Philippines with “Smart Contract to Website: Build & Deploy,” an upcoming development workshop designed to move students from learning blockchain concepts to building working onchain applications.
The workshop builds on previous learning experiences such as Base Build and ChainTalk, giving returning participants and aspiring developers an opportunity to apply their knowledge through an end-to-end Web3 development experience.
Rather than stopping at blockchain fundamentals, participants will learn how the different components of a decentralized application come together—from deploying a smart contract to connecting it with a functional website.
During the hands-on session, participants will learn how to:
- Build and deploy a smart contract
- Connect a website to a smart contract
- Integrate a crypto wallet into a Web3 application
- Interact with onchain functions
- Deploy a working website
- Test and troubleshoot a Web3 application
The workshop follows a simple learning progression:
Learn → Build → Deploy
By the end of the session, participants are expected to have a clearer understanding of how smart contracts, wallets, frontend applications, and blockchain networks interact in a real Web3 development environment.
The initiative is particularly aimed at students, developers, aspiring Web3 builders, and previous Base Build and ChainTalk participants who are ready to move from theoretical learning toward practical development.
Participants are required to prepare their development environment ahead of the workshop, including VS Code, GitHub, Vercel, Node.js, Git, and Sui CLI. The provided development setup will use a Windows environment with PowerShell.
The workshop is organized by Cryptita Plays, together with AWS Student Builder Group - UPHSL and DEVCON Laguna, strengthening collaboration between student developer communities and organizations working to expand access to emerging technology education.
Through initiatives like this, Cryptita Plays continues to create a pathway where students don't just learn about Web3—they get the opportunity to build, experiment, deploy, and become part of the next generation of blockchain builders.
